Counter Strike New Revealed
After months of rumors, Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new. It's a major update for CS:GO that will be bringing it on the Source 2 engine.
It also comes with responsive smoke grenades as well as sub-tick updates for servers. It's got a lot of gamers who are a bit naive but it appears to be a huge upgrade for regular players.
Smokes
Counter Strike New has a massive update that will alter the way smokes are used in the game. The new changes are being referred to as responsive smokes and will be a major game changer. Smokes will expand to fill up spaces naturally and move around different objects on the map. They will also respond to the lighting of the games, making them look more real. In addition to these new features, smokes will now be capable of interacting with events in the game, which will open up new tactical possibilities. Bullets, for instance, will push smoke in order to temporarily clear sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke occlusion.
The biggest change to smokes is that they'll become a more active part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were a fixed object that had a limited scope of movement and blocking. The new smokes will fill the space in which they are placed and block more of a player's vision when they are present. This is a major improvement that will make the game dynamic and will give both sides the same view.
Smokes will also react to the lighting and weapons as well as the environment in the world space. This will make smoke more realistic and give players different ways to use it to gain an edge over their opponents. This will especially be useful during the chaotic 5v5 battles which are bound to occur on every map.
Smokes are no longer one-way. This was a major problem in CSGO as it allowed players to see the location of their opponents from behind the smoke. clash is a popular CS:GO professional who claims that the new system makes CS2 more fair for both teams.
Other minor changes include adjusting the vertical position of smoke particles in order to minimize the possibility of seeing through edges, and also updating spectators' smoke overlay images to match their camera position. Also, the expiration of smokes has been updated to be more in line with the visuals of how they fade on the screen.
Loadouts
The CS:GO players can now customize their weapon selection prior the start of every match. The new loadout system lets the players to choose weapons that match their playstyles and team strategies. The new system also adds new tactical depth to the game because players must balance power and utility.
In addition to the brand new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes a number of other enhancements and changes. The buy menu was completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced by an adjustable grid that shows all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid is comprised of five pistols as well as five "mid-tier weapons" such a submachine guns, shotguns, and rifles.
The new system will be simple to use, and will give players greater control over their weapon choice. It will allow them to select the weapon that best fits their playstyle, team strategy and play around with different combinations. They can also compare their gear to other players and see how they compare.
Many players have praised the increased flexibility, while others have criticized it for deviating away from the core essence Counter-Strike. They also have raised concerns about how it will affect the specific loadouts for maps and agent skins based on visibility.
Despite these criticisms, it is important to remember that the new loadout system is in its infancy, and will undergo more extensive testing over the next few months. Some of these issues could be addressed in future updates. It is essential to stay updated for more details.
In addition to the new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools which can be enabled through the game's settings menu and allow community contributors to create weapons' finishes, stickers and maps. Additionally the update will live ban players who break the rules of VAC during games.
The latest CS GO update will be released in the middle of summer. For now, players can check out the full list of updates and features by visiting the official CS: GO website.
Sub-Tick Updates

The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in small intervals of time, referred to as ticks. Valve hopes to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. The smallest delay could impact the accuracy of the shot. A new video reveals the biggest improvements to the game, also known as sub tick updates.
Instead of a 64-tick-update each millisecond, CSGO is now able to use sub-ticks or, as Valve calls it, "micro ticks", to communicate with the servers. The client will take note of each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will send the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know the exact moment that you shot your shot and jumped, swung and other inputs.
The video doesn't go over everything. However it does clarify that every piece of data sent by the client is accompanied by a time stamp and that the server collects all information in chronological order from all players before sending it back. According to the video a CS: GO will be able send twice as much data as a 64-tick CS: GO.
This means that even the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz, it can still handle your commands instantly. And it's not just about increasing the tick rate either; micro-tick updates can reduce latency and input lag by guaranteeing that the server will respond to your actions with no delays or glitches.
It's evident that this is just the beginning of the technical improvements Valve is making to the game. Valve is using particles and smoke that are dynamic to improve the way smoke interacts with its environment. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to upgrade all CS Cosmetics and weapons.
Maps
The upcoming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game along with some classics that are getting facelifts. These updates are currently being tested in a limited-test beta. The first set includes upgrade and touchstone map that won't see any major changes to gameplay, while other maps have been completely revamped or rebuilt using the brand new Source 2 Tools.
Overpass is one of these maps that was modified to make use of the new engine's unified light system. The map's dark underground has been flooded with light to make it more spacious and less overcrowded. Smoke grenades are now expanding dynamically in order to fill spaces, and interact with the light.
Another map that's been overhauled is Italy that has been given an overhaul in texture lighting, structure and texture. The new version is more balanced than the predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. Fans can expect a few more classics, such as Aztec and Militia which will be updated in the future.
While many of these maps remain playable in other modes, they're no longer added to the map pool for competitive play. Train is the exception, as it has been removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed if the other maps removed from the pool will be reintroduced.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. Its update has been criticized as controversial. The newspaper has been open in its critique of Russia's actions in Ukraine. The map is based on war-ravaged Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna, and includes a variety of references to the war.
In the near future the developer will soon be releasing a set Source 2 tools for community map creators to utilize in their own designs. This will include features like improved lighting and character reading, as well as a physically-based rendering system which produces realistic materials and textures. It will also make real-world objects, like doors and windows, simpler to implement. The update will be released sometime in the summer.
